Amal is an attorney in the firm's growing civil practice. She also concentrates on large criminal cases, including her key participation in a five-day jury trial in which her client was acquitted of all charges, even after a videotaped confession was shown to the jury.
Ms. Bertrand graduated cum laude from American University's Washington College of Law and previously clerked for the Honorable S. Michael Pincus in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County.
Ms. Bertrand is fluent in French and Arabic.
